Entry level A map
This map is a basic map ideal to compliament a sports air filter and exhaust. It will speed up gearchange, remove the limiter whilst improving torque and BHP by approx 15% (car and weather dependant!) |
Mid level B map (our regular maps)
This map is ideal to compliament the more advanced customised smart. It will work well with a sports air filter, larger turbo induction pipe, larger intercooler pipes, and sports exhaust. It will speed up gearchange, remove the limiter whilst improving torque and BHP by approx 30% (excluding other mods, car and weather dependant!)

Custom level C map
This map is what it's all about if you are seriously into modifying your smart as it is a map customised to your hardware set up, ideal to compliament the most advanced customised smart. So what do you get for your money? we measure your cars current BHP and torque on a new rolling road, we discuss with you what you would like and what we think is possible and prepare a couple of mapping files for testing, your car is measured again on the rolling road and finally tested on the road with our mapping expert and yourself. The power output results depend upon your mods specification.
Typically cars have the roadster bigger turbo, Viper air induction, larger fuel injectors, roadster cam, sports exhaust etc however we also custom map cars with all manner of modifications so call for a chat.

You will have to make a booking for a mapping consultation and need to allow an hour to go through the process with us as before we map your car we will put it on our diagnostic machine and do a visual check to ensure we are happy to map your car. Mapping of your car is done at the owners risk and you will be asked to sign a disclaimer.
| What is remapping? |

OBD Engine mapping is the modern version of chipping. When you "chip" a car you basically put in a chip that has a set of data already burnt onto it, into your ECU. When you OBD remap an ECU, you save off the data currently stored on the chip and overwrite it with the performance data. This then allows you to apply different maps where applicable and also restore the original data should you require it. The benefit obviously of this is that it means you have not changed any standard part of the car and therefore warranty is unaffected etc.
Can the remapping be reversed?
The main plus point of this modern methodology means that we can reverse the information back to standard for you at any time. Because of this, if you came back to us within 14 days and asked us to reverse the process we will do so free of charge AND refund you the full amount. After 14 days, there is NO CHARGE to return your car to standard, but no refund unless there is any issue of course. If you have come a long way to us, we understand its not always easy to return within 14 days, so talk to us and we will come up with a compromise for you.
How will it affect my warranty?
There is no change needed to any hardware for engine remapping. Therefore there should be no affect on your warranty
What do you gain?
The Performance Optimisation gives you the best possible power, response and flexibility from your engine - in some cases up to 35% more power and 40% more torque.
The torque is increased from idle upwards, even before any boost is produced. This expands the useable rev-range of your engine and brings boost pressure in faster and earlier. Mid-range power and torque increases provide most of what you feel whilst you drive. By correctly matching air/fuel ratios throughout the rev-range, top end power is increased.
In short, Power and Torque will now be maintained at their optimum levels throughout the whole rev-range reducing the drama involved with overtaking. Less gear changes will be required due to the larger power band making for a more relaxed drive.
The Optimisation also improves fuel atomisation, and hence combustion, and thus can also improve fuel economy. We have many letters from customers telling us of up to 4 mpg better consumption!
We recommend that Smarts that are remapped use, where possible higher octane fuel 97 ron and above. Our recommendation is Shell V Power 98 ron+
Custom remapping
This can be done – with or without the rolling road – however if you want before and after graphs and best optimisation then you need to attend our Branch in Watford where we book you in with our software writers to write a map to suit your car.
The rolling road is a piece of machinery that measures your cars abilty to overcome a set pressure measuring its power.
Our software writers have run more than 2000 cars on the dyno ranging from 127.5bhp 700cc Smarts (Ours!) to a Ferrari F50 with 554bhp
The Dyno is a new American Land & Sea’s DYNOmite Chassis Dynamometer System which combines the latest sophisticated data acquisition electronics with DYNO-MAX 2000™
The Dyno can measure accurately to (+ /- 1hp) to 650BHP at the wheels It also includes a weather station for repeatable simulations. (test today and next month and engine results will not be affected by weather conditions)
